Type of Immersion Heaters

An immersion heater is a device which is installed in a tank or container to heat a liquid. The installation can be over the side, flanged or threaded.

Flange Immersion Heaters

Flange Immersion Heaters ideal for generating steam and heating gases and liquids in pressure vessels or tanks. Flanged immersion heaters are hairpin shaped tubular heating elements welded or glanded into a blind pipe flange. Available in a wide selection of flange sizes and with a variety of electrical enclosures.

Screw Plug Immersion Heaters

Screw plug immersion heaters consist of tubular elements in a threaded hex plug. Screw plug immersion heaters screw directly through threaded openings in tank walls to heat liquids, fluids, air, and gases by direct contact.

Over The Side Immersion Heaters

Over The Side Immersion Heaters are widely used in the metal finishing industry in plating tanks due to their convenience at lesser cost when compared to a L-shaped Immersion Heater. The chemical solution in the plating tank doesn’t need to removed to change heaters. Over the side Immersion Heaters are typically used in smaller tanks/in larger tanks with a steering device for temperature uniformity with lower temperatures.
